  • Activity 1: Finding People in Cyberspace – Meet Jane and help her plan an anniversary party for her parents.
  • Activity 2: Finding Science on the Web – With her new puppy, Sandy, Jan checks out local earthquakes.
  • Activity 3: The Space Shuttle – Jan looks into space shuttle launches and visits the library.
  • Activity 4: Weather and Climate – Jane plans a school outing based on the weather, and finds out about climate, too.
  • Activity 5: Finding Programs – Jane looks for programs on the Web, something different from Web pages.
  • Activity 6: The Sun – Jane researches information about sunspots by going to a gopher site. While there she checks out the latest eclipse pictures.
  • Activity 7: Hazards – Jane looks at hazards around the world with an eye towards moving.
  • Activity 8: The Winds – Jane helps the family ready for a flight across the country.
  • Activity 9: Study Greenhouse Gases – Jane finishes up the semester with a report on greenhouse gases.
