MTLM WORKSHOP 2006

April 8, 2006 through April 13, 2006
St. Croix, Virgin Islands

The NASA LWS Master Teachers Leadership Mentoring Program (MTLM) is a national model of diverse educators, collaborating to promote and integrate the subjects of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) across the curriculum. The MTLM program has been in existence for the past two years. The MTLM model aligns with NASA’s educational goals:  to inspire the next generation of learners to pursue careers in science, engineering and technology to support NASA’s career pipeline. The MTLM goals are:

  1. Science literacy for all Americans;
  2. Technology education and integration;
  3. Incorporate engineering and design in the standard curriculum;
  4. Integrate Math concepts in various curriculum areas;
  5. Target underrepresented/underserved groups;
  6. Form partnerships between MTLM and community entities.

The MTLM objectives are to reach out the general public and educational stakeholders to promote the importance of the Sun effects for society and mankind. To evaluate the effectiveness of the STP/LWS EPO programming among the star partners community.
