OUR STAR THE SUN SUMMER INSTITUTE 2006

The E/PO program has been successfully running educator institutes for new teachers and professors each year. These have been organized through a partnership with the University of Puerto Rico (UPR). The focus of the Summer Institute workshops is the Sun-Earth system. We use materials prepared by the SEC missions to teach this aspect of the project. These workshops involve the participation of teachers over several years. The teachers are first exposed to SEC science and in the follow-up workshop, they are taught to use SEC products. Later they attend different workshops and get involved in their districts to teach other teachers to use the SEC education system and products.
